Theme: Investigation of Culturing Condition for Microbial Fuel Cells Culture by Assaying Improvement Factors
Currently, activated sludge process is commonly adopted for water treatment. However, in this process, produced excess sludge prevents smooth driving of water treatment and consumes a huge energy to dispose excess sludge.
Recently, Microbial Fuel Cells (MFCs) are widely studied in the field of water treatment. MFCs have abilities to generate electrical energy and treat water without producing excess sludge. However, the coulombic efficiency of MFCs have not reached to implementation phase.
To realize the new process of water treatment by using MFCs, this study investigate proper condition for MFCs culture by assaying several improvement chemical, electrical and biological factors. |
